Local Businesses Invited to Free “Film Ready” In‑Service Event
February 4 • Surf City Library • 10:00–11:00 AM
The Lighthouse International Film Festival, in partnership with the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce, will host a free in‑service event on February 4 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Long Beach Island Library in Surf City. This session is designed to help local businesses learn how to be included in the New Jersey Motion Picture & Television Commission’s Production Services Directory, a key resource used by film and television production companies, location scouts, and filmmakers when sourcing local vendors and filming locations.
Businesses of all kinds can benefit from being listed in the directory, including hotels, realtors, caterers, restaurants, hair and makeup professionals, craft services, bars and bartenders, event planners, bed and breakfasts, florists, cleaning services, transportation providers, and unique filming locations. With the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce working to build a region‑wide “film ready” community, this event offers a valuable opportunity for local businesses to position themselves for future production‑related work.
Registration is free and can be completed by contacting Christine at liffinfo@gmail.com.
The organizations encourage all local businesses to attend, learn more about the growing film economy in New Jersey, and take the next step toward becoming “film ready.” Long Beach Island Branch of Ocean County Library is located at 217S Central Avenue Surf City.
