Learn about this mission driven community service August 12 in Little Egg Harbor The Southern Ocean Chamber is partnering to bring businesses together with The Wildcat Shack Summer Showcase brings with culinary creativity, and a mission-driven story on August 12 at Pinelands Regional Junior High School, 590 Nugentown Road, Little Egg Harbor.
The midday program beginning at noon features Cathy Schaffer, Allison Laurence, and Chef Ian Smith, who will share the inspiring origins of The Wildcat Shack, its mission, and the evolution of their beloved Supper Club. Attendees will enjoy a full experience: a thoughtful program, a freshly prepared lunch, and a live cooking demonstration by Chef Ian. The event cost is $20 per person, with $10 returned directly to The Wildcat Shack to support its ongoing work. Cathy, Allison, and Chef Ian will also provide a list of items needed to help restock the Shack, giving guests the opportunity to contribute directly by bringing supplies. Food allergies can be accommodated, ensuring everyone can participate comfortably.
Items requested are: face wash, body wash, shampoo/conditioner, deodorants, moisturizer, feminine hygiene products, and toilet paper. They are also in need of cleaning products, such as Clorox wipes, dish soap, all purpose sprays, sponges, and hand soaps.
Learn more about chamber member Wildcat Shack which provides an authentic, unique and innovative learning space designed to provide all stakeholders the opportunity to learn through service and compassion. As a team, they cooperate in helping our community by supplying basic necessities, clothing, and hygienic supplies to all who are in need. In addition to clothing and food, they also provide free washers and dryers for our community to wash their clothing.
This special summer gathering is more than a meal—it’s a chance to uplift a program that nourishes students, builds community, and can be a platform for growth throughout Southern Ocean County.
