Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce is working with member Community Foundation of South Jersey to raise awareness that nonprofit organizations have a new opportunity to strengthen their missions and support neighbors during challenging times. The South Jersey Resiliency Fund (SJRF) has officially opened its 2025 Grant Cycle, offering flexible funding to local agencies committed to the wellbeing of South Jersey communities.

Supporting Local Resilience

The Resiliency Fund is designed to help nonprofit agencies adapt both internally and programmatically, ensuring they can continue delivering vital services to residents across the region. Whether it’s sustaining ongoing programs, upgrading technology, or planning for future scenarios, the fund provides resources to meet the evolving needs of organizations and the communities they serve.

Eligibility

Registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations, or those operating with a fiscal sponsor, are eligible to apply if they provide services directly tied to the wellbeing of residents in the following counties:

• Atlantic
• Burlington
• Camden
• Cape May
• Cumberland
• Gloucester
• Ocean
• Salem

This includes nonprofits based in Southern Ocean County that are working to uplift neighbors through health, education, housing, food security, and other essential services.

Grant Details

• Award amounts: Between $5,000 and $15,000
• Funding type: Unrestricted and flexible
• Eligible uses:
  • Program continuation
  • Organizational capacity building
  • Technology and system upgrades
  • Scenario planning
  • Other emergent needs
