This week's LBI Region Report features Alisha Hartunian, CEO of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Toms River. Alisha explained that Encompass is the nation’s largest operator of acute inpatient rehab hospitals and provides advanced therapies for patients recovering from major illness or injury. Their Toms River location offers specialized, Joint Commission–certified programs, on-site dialysis, and intensive therapy designed to help patients regain independence. She emphasized that patients can be admitted directly from home or other settings, and that Encompass focuses on safely returning nearly 90% of patients back to their communities.
