Small business owners, entrepreneurs, and advocates are invited to attend the event beginning 9am at The Mainland Ballroom, Manahawkin
The Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce invites the business community to their Celebrate Small Business Breakfast on Friday, November 14, at Mainland Manahawkin, offering a dynamic morning of inspiration, networking, and valuable resources for entrepreneurs and small business advocates. This event is designed to energize and equip business owners at every stage with tools and insights to help them thrive. Event check in will begin 8:30 with program beginning 9am.
Attendees will enjoy a full breakfast buffet, complete with fresh juices and a coffee station, networking and presentations tailored to the needs of small businesses. The program will feature the New Jersey Business Action Center (NJBAC), showcasing its wide array of free and confidential services, including support for E-Commerce, grants and the newly launched NJ Small Business Guide to Entrepreneurship. Delivering the morning's keynote will be Don Newman, Manager of the Office of Small Business Advocacy at NJBAC. With more than two decades of experience as a business advocate, Mr. Newman has played a pivotal role in helping New Jersey businesses identify eligible programs and connect with the resources best suited to their growth. Joining the lineup is Christine Merowchek, Small Business Administration Relationship Manager at Provident Bank, who will present the latest updates on SBA funding opportunities. Her presentation will offer guidance on how small businesses can access financial support and navigate the evolving landscape of federal assistance.
In addition to the presentations, resource tables will be available throughout the event, offering take-away materials and opportunities to schedule one-on-one consultations with experts. The breakfast aligns with November’s broader celebration of Shop Small Month, emphasizing the importance of supporting local businesses and fostering community connections. The cost of the event is $40 per person and includes breakfast, networking and program at the Mainland Rt 72 E Manahawkin. RSVP is required by contacting the Southern Ocean Chamber at 609 494 7211 or emailing Kate @ sochamber.com .
